EDRMS Implementation & Review Conference - 'Practical Experiences in EDRM Implementation' PDF Print E-mail

Matthew Lipscombe from DocBanq presented 'Practical Experiences in EDRM Implementation' at the EDRM Implementation & Review conference on Tuesday 29 November 2005.

The implementation of an EDRM system can be a complex undertaking that will test the capability of the project team in every dimension, and it is an unfortunate fact that the past decade is littered with EDRM implementations that have failed or underdelivered due to this complexity.

However there are proven approaches to common issues that arise in many EDRM implementations...

- What will define the success of the project?
- How do we migrate data from legacy systems, network drives and e-mail?
- How do we handle legacy paper files?
- What business processes should we use for correspondence? for e-mail?
- How do we automate business processes?
- How do we manage stakeholders across management boundaries?
- How do we ensure ongoing success?

Matthew ran through practical approaches to these issues that have been developed in over 20 end-to-end EDRM implementations.
